The Museum consists of Narva Castle, a classical West-European castle, and Art Gallery. The museum displays are dedicated to the history of Narva since the 13th century until the beginning of the XX century.
The museum has developed on the basis of the Museum of Peter I and the Museum of the Lavrentsovs. Three wings and the eight-floor tower of Long Hermann are presented for the attention of visitors. The displays are dedicated to the history of Narva since the 13th century until the beginning of the XX century. There is the folk group Supryandki and the theatre of historical costume at the museum.
